Season's Greetings

Latest news

Dear friends of NorthWind,

2022 has been rich in developments for wind energy, and in particular for offshore wind. In February, the government announced its plans for the development of offshore wind. Days later, the EU parliament adopted a new strategy on offshore renewables. In May, the government strengthened its offshore wind targets, days before Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium announced ambitious targets of their own.

More recently, offshore wind farm Hywind Tampen started production, and the Norwegian government both announced an initiative on offshore wind as part of its export reform and revealed that offshore areas will be put to tender in early 2023.

Meanwhile, progress within the FME NorthWind research centre is moving along according to plan, and we are excited to bring forward even more innovations and results in 2023.

As the holiday season approaches, we at FME NorthWind would like to extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

The FME NorthWind Centre Management Group
