I decided to do my master thesis in SINTEF Energy Research because during my studies I gained interest about the HVDC interconnection and the virtual inertia provision. My Italian supervisor, professor Luigi Piegari, proposed me this research institute where I found the HVDC inertia provision project perfectly suitable to my aim.
During my internship I had the possibility to work alongside extraordinary people, both from the scientific and individual point of view. I am very glad to have had this opportunity, which I recommend to my peers, being extremely formative.
I would like to thank my tutors Jon Are Suul and Salvatore D’Arco for their positive encouragement, unwavering support and open door policy throughout my internship period, despite their busy schedule, which endowed me to reach the state of the art and contribute actively in the project.
